Oklahoma Dove Hunting

Mourning doves are one of the most popular game birds in the state of Oklahoma. Dove hunting in Oklahoma and the dove opener are much anticipated by thousands of shotgunners each year. At Nichols-Rooster, we have some excellent wingshooting opportunities on doves throughout the properties. Hunters can hunt on one of the several waterholes available to intercept birds coming to water after the morning or evening feeding session or hunt on pasture edges along natural flyways.

Bird dogs are optional for retrieval purposes ,but hunters are welcome to bring their retrievers along if they so desire. Oklahoma dove hunting can be outstanding and no wingshooter faces any stiffer challenge than bagging a limit of fast flying doves.
