About Us

Nichols Rooster was established when Danny & Edwayna Story (land owners) contacted Toby Randolph about a problem they were having with hogs. They began discussing the abundance of wildlife found on the property and the enjoyment hunters would get by visiting this area. We are located in SW Oklahoma, by the Red River just upstream from where the state-record non-typical deer was harvested. Also, the number three state record turkey was harvested in this area. Our properties are in parcels located in Jackson and Harmon counties. We have 8 stocked ponds on different properties and a creek runs through one property. These were stocked in August, 2007, with channel cat, bass, various perch and minnows. They are fed regularly.

We began putting the operation together in fall of 2006 and were in full swing by hunting season of 2007. Being a new operation, it is being improved every year. Food plots are being added, stands and blinds are being optimally located, and we feed all types of wildlife hunted. We have skeet shooting available, and are in the process of setting up a “firing range” for sighting in guns and the hunter’s shooting enjoyment.

Our hunters will stay at the lodge located near hunting sites. When hunting with us (fully guided) transportation to the hunting area will be provided. A relaxing evening will be enjoyed by all.

Our hunters will be furnished all they need to enjoy their stay. Whether it is playing pool, cards, horseshoes, or just visiting with other hunters. Your stay, with us, will meet all your expectations.
